NASA: the Aurora borealis seen from the International Space Station

Image of an aurora borealis was taken by the ISS, the International Space Station.

The spectacular image is the work of NASA astronaut Christina Koch, on board the ISS. The astronaut said that a few years ago he was at the South Pole, and had observed the aurora borealis, “as inspiration during the 6 months winter night”. Orbiting on the International Space Station, she was able to observe it in a way that was uncommon, and more spectacular, and that gave her more emotions. Credits: Nasa, source: SRM.
